Nominated by the public under the ‘Health & Wellbeing’ category, we’ve been shortlisted by industry professionals to sit alongside some incredible large-scale organisations including The Reader and Liverpool Philharmonic. A mean feat for a small grassroots biz like ourselves!
Like many arts and culture organisations, it’s certainly been a challenging year for us – considering we’re all about music, movement and big performances! But our continuous professional development and high quality visual and audio software has ensured our digital activities are almost as good as the real thing. And we’ve done everything we can to keep the Katumba spirit alive, supporting drummers from our band and other groups across the UK, and opening our digital doors to the public of all ages throughout ALL lockdowns & tiers since March 2020!
To celebrate our being finalists, we’re inviting the public to take part in a FREE online drumming taster on Saturday 30th January, 3pm! No experience needed! Best for 18+ but all ages welcome. We want to give EVERYONE the opportunity to experience what we do best – spreading positivity, art, culture and performance, particularly in this unprecedented time.

The winners will be announced at the LCR Culture & Creativity digital awards event in February. But winning isn’t important to us – we’re simply over the moon to have been nominated and thank each and every one of you who thought of us!
